Employers prefer candidates who hold a university degree, but one is not required to teach English in Russia.
TEFL Certification
TEFL Certification is required. A minimum of 120-hour TEFL certification is recommended.
Citizenship Requirements
Many employers require citizens of USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa to legally teach English in China. Some positions may accept nationals of other countries who are fluent in English and have a TEFL certification.
